Meet Dannielle — Co-Host of Crazy Stupid Midlife

From Parenting to Nursing (and More): Dannielle's Story

Dannielle's path took a different turn. After dedicating years to raising her children, she felt a strong pull to re-enter the workforce—but in a way that aligned with her passion for health, wellness, and aesthetics. But before nursing, her journey took a unique detour.

In her early 30s, after being diagnosed with melanoma, Dannielle became passionate about safe sun alternatives. As a stay-at-home mom, she founded a luxury personal tanning business, offering customized sunless tans to high-profile and celebrity clients. Her attention to detail and commitment to natural, healthy beauty made her a sought-after name in the industry. She ran that business successfully for several years before selling it just last year.

After that chapter, she dove fully into healthcare, returning to school to become a nurse and eventually earning her Family Nurse Practitioner degree. Re-entering academia while balancing family life wasn’t easy, but Dannielle found she was more motivated and committed as an adult learner. Her love for medicine, combined with her deep empathy and experience as a parent, fueled her drive to specialize in women’s health, aesthetics, and wellness. Today, she helps women navigate everything from hormonal changes to skin health, blending science with self-care.

Meet Renee — Co-Host of Crazy Stupid Midlife

From PR to Teaching(and Aspiring Author): Renee's Journey

Renee spent many years in the fast-paced world of public relations. She was successful, driven, and seemingly had it all together. But beneath the surface, a sense of dissatisfaction was growing. She craved a career that felt more meaningful, one where she could directly impact people's lives. This led her to consider a radical shift: teaching.

The idea of going back to school, learning new pedagogical methods, and stepping into a high school classroom was intimidating—but Renee knew it was the right move. At 40, she returned to school while juggling work, family, and coursework. It wasn’t easy, but she found that as a mature student, she was more focused and driven.

Her life experience, combined with her passion for writing and literature, made her a natural fit for mentoring teens. She’s always had a gift for words—whether crafting stories, essays, or heartfelt lessons—and her dream is to one day write a book of her own. Whether it’s fiction, memoir, or something in between, Renee’s voice is one that’s meant to be heard.

For now, she channels that creativity into helping young people find their voices and navigate life’s challenges through storytelling and literature.
